Job Title
Project Manager, Residential Interiors

Position Overview
The Project Manager role at Curated Nest Interiors is an organizational, client-facing position focused on coordination, communication, and day-to-day project momentum. This role supports the creative and technical work of the design team by ensuring projects move forward smoothly, deadlines are met, and clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.

The Project Manager does not need to be the technical expert on construction details, but must have a working understanding of residential design and renovation processes, strong professional judgment, and exceptional organizational skills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly collaborative, in-person studio environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and excels at communication, logistics, and follow-through.

This is not a senior designer role. While prior exposure to construction or kitchen and bath projects is helpful, the primary focus of this position is coordination, organization, and client communication rather than technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact for assigned projects, managing communication, setting expectations, and ensuring a high-touch, well-organized client experience
• Maintain schedules, task lists, and deliverables to ensure steady progress
• Coordinate with Senior Designers, principals, contractors, architects, and vendors
• Oversee construction administration support, including RFIs, change orders, and site visit coordination
• Track procurement, lead times, deliveries, and installation logistics
• Support project budget tracking and cost documentation
• Prepare client communications, proposals, and meeting summaries
• Maintain organized project documentation and proactively flag risks
• Oversee installations and punch list completion, ensuring project deliverables are executed accurately

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
• Min 3–5+ years of experience in high-end residential design or construction project coordination
• Strong understanding of residential renovation and new-build workflows including renovation and new-build project phases
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple active projects with accuracy and composure
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer (or similar), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Ability to conduct regular site visits in Westchester and Fairfield counties, remote flexibility may be negotiated on a case-by-case basis
• Calm, solutions-oriented, and resilient under pressure, with the ability to problem-solve collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate needs, take ownership of tasks, and follow through without oversight
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional demeanor, with a team-first mindset and willingness to support others
• Comfortable working in an environment where priorities may shift, requiring flexibility and strong judgment
• U.S. work authorization, valid driver’s license, and regular access to a car

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or accredited certification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
• Experience within a boutique or luxury residential design firm
• Familiarity with procurement workflows, order tracking, lead times, and installation coordination for to-the-trade furnishings and materials
• Canva or presentation software experience

Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $50,000 to $100,000
• Collaborative studio culture with direct mentorship from firm principals
• Competitive salary, bonus eligibility, PTO, health insurance options, and 401(k)
