Project Manager

Position Overview
The Project Manager is the primary Client contact (at the sole discretion of the Director of Production), responsible for adhering to our Contract, while managing and ensuring the successful execution of home remodeling projects, maintaining quality, budgets, and client satisfaction. This role involves managing schedules, subcontractors, materials, and resources, while providing ongoing communication and support to clients throughout the project lifecycle. This role oversees the Site Supervisors and works closely with the Production Coordinator & Estimator.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of projects by developing and managing detailed project schedules, contracts and budgets.
Client Communication:
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, setting expectations, and resolving issues.
Project Profitability:
• Ensure buy out of subcontracts, materials and in-house labor at or below budget. Monitor job reports, gross profit and overall revenue to ensure company goals are met.
Cost & Resource Management:
• Track all project expenses regularly and compare them against the approved budget.
• Approve, process and track purchase orders
• Negotiate contracts and rates with subcontractors and vendors to ensure fair terms.
• Initiate change orders and estimates for on-going projects
• Recognize opportunities to reduce costs and increase overall project efficiency.
• Coding, processing and approving invoicing and submit bills for payment
Client Experience:
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct weekly client meetings, providing meeting minutes and follow up
• Clearly set expectations with clients, provide consistent updates, and resolve concerns quickly.
• Deliver a high standard of professionalism and satisfaction in every client interaction.
Scheduling & Coordination:
• To successfully manage 3-5 projects simultaneously
• Develop and maintain accurate job schedules to keep projects on track.
• Schedule and oversee subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time.
• Place material orders and coordinate delivery timelines with suppliers.
• Forecast and plan materials and resources needed for each phase of the project.
• Maintain detailed daily job logs and capture progress photos for project tracking.
Quality Control & Closeout:
• Ensure all work performed meets code requirements, design specifications, and quality benchmarks.
• Identify and address any potential delays or challenges on the job site.
• Complete project closeout processes, including final walkthroughs and punch list execution.
• Uphold the company culture and image

Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in project management, in residential construction or home remodeling.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in construction scheduling tools and project management software.
• Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, building officials, subcontractors, trade partners, employees, etc.
• Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and work with subcontractors and vendors effectively.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide array of financial, compliance, and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
Manage all core accounting functions, including completing bank reconciliations. Oversee accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) reconciliations. Prepare and distribute all customer invoices and necessary paperwork for customer bank loans. Determine and make A/P payments while distributing lien waivers. Complete monthly General Ledger closings for Murphy Brothers Contracting and the property holding company. Prepare monthly financial statements and conduct asset and liability analysis for both entities. Maintain books on all inter-company balances. Manage banking issues and ensure compliance.

Job Costing & Documentation
Prepare all contracts and contract documents. Type proposals and complete cost breakdowns. Prepare and distribute change orders. Create billing schedules and projections. Estimate versus actual analysis for each job and distribute to project managers.

Payroll & HR Compliance
Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns and distribute W-2's and 1099's. Keep employee salary and expense sheets updated. Answer all inquiries regarding unemployment and garnishments. Deal with all workers’ compensation issues, including reporting injuries and follow-ups. Maintain 401k and general company policy manual compliance documents. Help with interviews and hiring processes when needed.

Audits & Insurance
Prepare for various audits, including NYSIF and General Liability Insurance audits. Prepare the NYSIF CPAP credit application. Research and review new health insurance plans.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field (preferred).
• 5–10 years of proven experience in Construction Accounting (preferred).
• Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 annually (commensurate with experience and proficiency)
