THE HOME BUILDERS & REMODELERS ASSOCIATION OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY AND AMERICAN CONSUMER SHOWS ANNOUNCE 2015 LAUNCH OF HBRA OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY HOME SHOW

[SYOSSET, NEW YORK – June 23, 2014] There’s exciting news for Fairfield County residents: The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Fairfield County – in partnership with American Consumer Shows, the largest producer of home shows in the United States – is pleased to announce the HBRA of Fairfield County Home Show, debuting April 11th and 12th, 2015!  Building on the success that the HBRA has had with its home shows over the past 20 years, this extraordinary event brings homeowners and remodeling professionals together in a unique, one-on-one, interactive environment. The HBRA of Fairfield County Home Show will take place at Chelsea Piers Connecticut, Fairfield County’s premier athletics, family fun and entertainment center!

The first half of 2014 has shown increasing signs that homeowners are finally spending on renovations and remodeling projects rather than simple repairs and upkeep.  “The market is red hot for everything related to the home,” says Sandy Goldstein, President of Stamford Downtown Special Services District. “We have 400,000 people living within a 10 mile radius [of Stamford] and 2,000 new residential units scheduled to be completed in the area within the next 18 months.” That’s good news for Fairfield County’s home improvement experts and general contractors who have experienced lean times recently.

Alyssa Lakes, Director of Media & Marketing Strategy for American Consumer Shows agrees: “This year is the start of the big home remodeling comeback.  For homeowners, they can finally have that kitchen or deck they’ve been dreaming of.  In some cases, they’re even considering more than one project.  It’s no wonder the home improvement industry’s worth by 2015 is expected to top $670 billion dollars.”

Home shows are an extremely popular way for home improvement professionals to market themselves to consumers, and American Consumer Shows has been producing successful events such as these across the country for the past 35 years.  “Home shows give homeowners ideas and inspiration as well as a deep sense of what exhibitors can offer them for their home projects,” adds Lakes.

“I am extremely excited for Fairfield County’s current and future homeowners,” says Chris Steiner, Home Show Committee Chair and HBRA of Fairfield County Secretary. “The partnership between HBRA and American Consumer Shows will make one of Connecticut’s longest running home shows better than ever!”

Equally excited for the HBRA of Fairfield County Home Show are Maureen E. Hanley-Bellitto, President of the HBRA and Jack Condlin, President & CEO of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. “We are so pleased to have connected with American Consumer Shows,” says Hanley-Bellitto. “Through careful consideration we were able to find the right partner to deliver this one-of-a-kind experience for our membership and consumers.  This could only happen through the extraordinary efforts and hours of volunteer work of our Home Show Committee and the Board of Directors.” Condlin adds, “Since its debut in 2012, Chelsea Piers Connecticut has become a centerpiece of Stamford, bringing new business, jobs to the community and more.  I can’t think of a better location for Fairfield County’s home improvement businesses to showcase themselves to our residents.”
